Does Torture Ever Belong in an Essay?

Does Torture Ever Belong in an Essay?Have you ever wondered what would happen if you were to write an essay about torture was allowed? What would your essay be about? Would it be about the realities of life, how the cruel act has been portrayed in fiction movies and television, or would it be a form of fiction written by a writer who happens to have gone through the torture themselves? What's your opinion on torture? How would you like to know what would happen if you were to be permitted to write a critical essay about how the United States treats foreign prisoners? The thing about 'torture' is that people have differing opinions about it. Some people think it's an outrage and that they would never tolerate the act in any way. Others feel that it is an acceptable punishment, as long as it is for a noble cause. Still others believe that if someone is under constant stress and pain that they should not be allowed to make any sort of physical noise.A lot of people in the middle feel that while they agree with the idea of using torture, they are somewhat uncomfortable with the concept of living under it for extended periods of time, or at least, extreme feeling like they are. It seems like the edges of the argument become more extreme as one goes down the road. And so, what would this essay be about? Well, I have no clue. For me, it would probably be something like 'What do you think of the torture scenes in movies and television?'It could be fun, because it could be filled with things such as this; 'The torture scene in 9. Miles Out' was really not that extreme. But I would definitely add some comments of my own about the pros and cons of the act of torture. For example, many people believe that torture actually works, which is true. In many instances, torture works to force a confession out of the person being tortured.Other people say that the torture scene in 'Titanic' was pretty bad, but in actuality, that was still an essay. Still, perhaps the essay could have f ocused on the nature of the essay itself, rather than the purpose.
